The national organizing committee with the participation of the Unions of the Physicists, Biologists, Chemists and the Ministry of education and science in Bulgaria organize the third national festival "Science on Stage 3". The host of the festival will be the town of Sevlievo.
The festival is a continuation of the European program "Science on Stage" and it has a main aim to provoke and support the interest of the young people towards the whole cycle of science subjects as a main region of the human's knowledge and future career. It gives possibilities both to students and teachers to accept science in a new and innovative way by demonstrating the fun which science can bring.
This year the occasion coincides with the celebration of the World's Year of Astronomy and the International Year of Technologies and Innovations.
The festival will flow in the following directions:
1. Performnaces on stage which include settings and series of experiments, which continue up to 30 minutes, demonstrating the basic scientific principles in an attractive way.
2. Counters on which students and teachers present innovative ideas for demonstrations, experiments, posters and devices in the field of natural sciences.
3.Computer presentations which should be presented within 15-20 minutes.
The festival will flow within the framework of three days (24, 25, 26 April 2009). The reception and registration of the participants will start on the 24th of April 2009 in the House of Culture "Mara Belcheva" in Sevlievo.
It is expected that students and teacher from other European countries will participate in the festival.
Official opening - 25th of April 2009.

PRIZES
In this year's festival, with the decision of the National organizing committee of "Science on Stage", will be given prizes for first, second and third place in the following directions:
>>> Performances on stage;
>>> Innovative ideas for demonstrations;
>>> Miniature models, models and posters;
>>> Computer presentations.
CAUTION! The prizes will be given not only to the student teams, but to the teams' instructors.
